Premier Blaine Higgs is resisting calls for a freeze on evictions from opposition politicians, advocates and tenants. Nova Scotia recently banned evictions and instituted a rent increase cap for the duration of the pandemic, but Higgs says he’s not sure such measures are needed in New Brunswick.
