CMHA highlights the obstacles people face when coming out as transgender

This week, a Canadian actor made headlines after announcing that he is transgender. Elliot Page, known for his Oscar-nominated role in ‘Juno’, as well as ‘Inception’, shared the news on Tuesday.
The announcement has sparked conversation around what it means to be transgender, and the obstacles people still face in our community when identifying as such.
Teresa Kaszuba spoke with Gender Journeys Education & Support Worker at CMHA, Joaquin Santana about some of those challenges.
