Halifax Regional Council has unanimously passed an updated business plan for the Halifax Convention Centre that includes more than $11 million in projected losses for the current fiscal year. As Elizabeth McSheffrey reports, the centre’s losses nearly doubled during the COVID-19 pandemic, as events were cancelled and roughly 60 staffers were laid off.
