Coronavirus: 11% of Canadians still going ahead with their holiday plans: Ipsos poll

Ipsos polling exclusively for Global News shows 88 per cent of Canadians say they will either change or cancel their plans for celebrating the holidays, that’s up 5 points from last month. Of those, 54 per cent say they will reduce their contacts or account for social distancing. But 11 per cent say they’re going ahead with their holiday plans as scheduled. Those aged 18-34 stand out in that group at 21 per cent. Ipsos CEO Darrell Bricker spoke with Global News about the results saying “Christmas 2020 is gonna be like no Christmas we’ve had before” and added that while there are those not following the rules, the “vast majority of the population is following advice they’ve been given.
