Canadian government investing $542M for Indigenous communities

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Friday that the government would be investing $542 million to Indigenous communities “to exercise full jurisdiction over child and family services.” Trudeau said it was vital for addressing “the unacceptable injustices that too many kids and families have faced in the care system.”
