Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott said on Wednesday that she had “full confidence” in chief medical officer of health Dr. David Williams as someone who can lead them through the pandemic. Her comments came in response to the auditor general’s report which said in some cases Williams has not chaired the health command table and some decisions were made by government, not health experts. Elliott added that there were factual issues in the report which they did not agree on and they were guided by recommendations by Williams, Public Health Ontario and other experts.
