Coronavirus: Toronto mayor says lockdown only way to ensure future of economy as cases spike

Following an announcement that Toronto, along with Peel Region, would be under a lockdown starting next Monday, the city’s mayor, John Tory, on Friday said that this method is the only way at this time to ensure COVID-19 cases get under control and to ensure the future of the economy.
