Members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) signed what is being touted as the world’s “biggest trade pact,” which will encompass nearly a third of all economic activity in the world. It includes the 10 nations belonging to ASEAN, as well as China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, but not the U.S.
