Access to in-person visits by Canadian military veterans is a challenge for school children and community organizations in 2020. Even without COVID-19 restrictions, those Canadians with first hand accounts of the Second World War and the Korea War may find it difficult to visit in person.
The Memory Project, created to preserve our country’s stories of war and peacekeeping is not only serving as an archive from the storytellers we are losing, it is also crossing the boundary of COVID-19 restrictions and bringing the storytellers back to the classroom, virtually.
