Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam discussed COVID-19 vaccines on Friday, saying when one becomes available, there will be a limited supply at first and that federal, provincial and territorial governments will have to decide how to use the initial supply. Tam also stated the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) provided guidance on populations that should be considered for early COVID-19 immunizations, including people at high risk of severe outcomes.
