U.S. election: New York police detain protesters after demonstrations

New York police arrested at least a dozen people on Wednesday evening, following protests demanding a thorough count of ballots cast in the U.S. presidential race, calling for racial justice and criticizing police. It’s not clear what led to the arrests, but according to local reports police and protesters clashed in the city’s West Village.
