Nicaragua scrambled to evacuate citizens from its Atlantic coasts on Monday as Hurricane Eta, which threatens to bring “catastrophic winds” and flash floods, closed in on the Central American country. The storm, which is now a devastating Category 4 hurricane, is expected to slam the northeast coast of Nicaragua on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC).
