Former U.S. president Barack Obama took aim at Donald Trump for his statement at a rally on Sunday that he would fire Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country’s top infectious disease expert, if he is re-elected. Obama said Trump’s plan for his second term is to fire “one of the few people in this administration who’s been taking this [pandemic] seriously all along,” and encouraged voters to make their voices heard at the polls.
