Canada’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Theresa Tam spoke Wednesday after releasing her annual report on public health, saying that the novel coronavirus pandemic has shone a spotlight on inequalities in Canada’s health-care system, but said it could act as “a catalyst” to prompt action on some of the issues highlighted in her report.
