Coronavirus: Freeland says government wants to give Canadians ‘bridge’ to get through pandemic

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland on Wednesday defended the country’s response to COVID-19, saying that their financial assistance for Canadians was to help give them a “bridge” to help as many as they can and that not helping them would be a “profound mistake.”
