Minister of Public Services and Procurement Anita Anand on Monday argued that the Liberal government’s proposal to have the Privy Council’s Office vet COVID-19 contracts, as opposed to the clerk of the House of Commons, which was rejected by the Conservatives, would have given them greater assurances over the risks from procurement standpoint.
