It was a virtual celebration of excellence for a group of exceptional Canadian students on Oct 9. The Black Business and Professional Association held their annual national scholarship ceremony, awarding financial aid to young Black Canadians. For more than 30 years, the scholarship program has been helping to create opportunities and build a pathway for success for the black community. Global’s Sharmeen Somani spoke with one of this year’s recipients, and the chair of the BBPA about what this honour means.
