Alberta chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw updated the COVID-19 numbers for the Thanksgiving long weekend, saying there were an average of 240 new cases identified each day. As of Tuesday, there were 1,444 active COVID-19 cases in the Edmonton Zone, which Dr. Deena Hinshaw said was a concerning hot spot.
