Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman announced Friday the city would extend summer patios through until Oct. 31, with assistant chief of emergency management Jay Shaw announcing the city’s plans to start a “winter patio program” from Nov. 1 to March 31. He said businesses would need to meet a number of requirements, including permitted heated sources.
