New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell said on Wednesday that Hurricane Delta could bring “life-threatening storm surge” as it makes landfall in the U.S. with the storm predicted to hit the Gulf Coast Friday morning. The storm made landfall Wednesday morning south of Cancun, Mexico as a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 110 mph.
