Ottawa ‘concerned’ with U.S. decision to launch global safeguard investigation on Canadian blueberries, Ng says

During question period on Tuesday, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade Mary Ng said the government is “concerned” with the U.S. decision to launch a global safeguard investigation on Canadian fresh and frozen blueberries. She admitted the investigation could eventually lead to tariffs, and said Canada would “actively participate” in the investigation.
