Global BC celebrates 60 years: First BC NDP government ends political dynasty

The seventies began with the end of the W.A.C. Bennett dynasty as the NDP under Dave Barrett swept to power for the first time ever. By the end of the decade Bill Bennett, W.A.C.’s son was back as a Social Credit premier.
