Marc Miller calls death of Indigenous woman at Quebec hospital ‘the worst face of racism’

Minister of Indigenous Services Marc Miller reacted on Tuesday to the death of Joyce Echaquan, an Indigenous woman who died amid troubling circumstances at a hospital in Joliette, Que. Millar called for a full inquest into her death, adding that the alleged racism that may have contributed to Echaquan’s death is “not an isolated event” in Canada.
