Attorney Benjamin Crump said on Friday that the grand jury decision not to charge police officers directly with the death of Breonna Taylor “follows the pattern of blatant disrespect and marginalization of Black people, and especially Black women” in the U.S. who have been killed by police. Crump added that part of Breonna’s legacy would be that “Black women’s lives matter too.”
