Throne speech: Trudeau government addresses COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on women, pledges to create national action plan

Governor General Julie Payette addressed how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected women in Canada during Wednesday’s throne speech, pledging that the government would create a national action plan for getting women back into the workforce, which she said would be guided by a task force of diverse experts.
