The United States began three days of tributes to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Wednesday, with Chief Justice John Roberts saying during the ceremony that Ginsburg’s victories when it comes to jurisprudence “helped move our nation closer to equal justice under law.” Ginsburg, who championed gender equality and other liberal causes, died on Friday at age 87.
