More than 5000 migrants stranded on the island of Lesbos have moved into a new temporary tent camp, said Greece’s migration minister Notis Mitarachi, on Thursday, with 135 testing positive for COVID-19. The migrants had been living on the streets for more than a week after a blaze gutted the overcrowded Moria camp and left over 12,000 people, most of them refugees from Afghanistan, Syria and various African countries, without shelter, proper sanitation or access to food and water.
