The World Health Organization’s (WHO) top emergency expert, Dr. Mike Ryan, said on Thursday that it’s important for governments and science experts to provide consistent messaging to the public regarding COVID-19, commenting on Trump’s recent contradictory remarks that a vaccine could be ready in weeks while CDC experts said a vaccine would take until mid-2021. He also added that it’s important not to turn the pandemic into a “political football.”
