Coronavirus: White House denies report Trump intentionally misled public on COVID-19

Asked about Bob Woodward’s new book, which alleges U.S. President Donald Trump intentionally misled the public as to the true threat posed by COVID-19, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday flatly denied the allegations. She claimed that the “second part of the quote” was that Trump did not want to see chaos and that he wanted people to stay calm. She also claimed he “never lied” to the American public about COVID-19.
