On the eve of the 146th running of the Kentucky Derby, perhaps the world’s most iconic horse racing event, protesters gathered in Louisville demanding justice for Breonna Taylor. Friday marked the 100th straight day that protesters have gathered to pay their respect to Taylor in Jefferson Square Park. Shorty after 6:30 p.m. protesters marched through downtown chanting “no justice – no Derby.” The group then marched to the Kentucky Derby Festival’s headquarters before police arrived.
