Venezuela pardons dozens of opposition politicians as election nears

Venezuelan Information Minister Jorge Rodriguez on Monday announced the country’s government would pardon more than 100 opposition politicians, including more than 20 legislators accused of conspiring against President Nicolas Maduro, as the country heads toward parliamentary elections in December.
