Coronavirus: Canada’s top doctor says COVID-19 contributing to drug-related overdoses and deaths

Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam said on Friday that the pandemic is contributing to an increase in drug-related overdoses and deaths with public health measures designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19 possibly increasing isolation, stress and anxiety and thus leading to an increased usage of drugs.
