Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Wednesday that Ottawa would be giving provinces and territories $2 billion more to help them ensure kids can safely return to school in September. The money is on top of the $19 billion already promised to help them cope with the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
