George Floyd’s brother, Philonise Floyd, spoke during the Democratic National Convention on Monday, saying that his brother had a “giving spirit” and that same spirit has shown up in people who have taken to the streets of American cities and cities around the globe in protest. He called it a “fitting legacy” but it’s now up to them to carry on “the fight for justice,” before asking people to join him in a moment of silence.
