CRA portal was shut down after large amount of traffic, government official says

Marc Brouillard, acting-Chief Technology Officer of the Government of Canada said that officials took the decision to shut down the CRA portal on Saturday morning after the server was directly targeted with a large amount of traffic using a botnet, in an attempt to attack the services through “credential stuffing.”
