Pope Francis on Saturday called for dialogue between Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan in their negotiations over a dam on the Nile, urging them not to let the dispute lead to a conflict. The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which is being built some 15 km from Ethiopia’s border with Sudan on the Blue Nile, has become a major hurdle between the three countries.
