During a meeting of the Special Committee on Canada-China Relations, Professor Michael Davis of Columbia University said freedom of speech is no protection against the reach of China’s expansion in Hong Kong, adding anything said during the hearing against the new law could lead to arrest by Chinese authorities in Hong Kong.
