Making police interventions safer

The opposition at Montreal City Hall is calling for Montreal police to institute safer measures when attempting to subdue an individual. Specifically, they would like to see an end to the use of a chokehold when restraining an individual. As Global’s Tim Sargeant explains, critics believe there are safer ways for officers to intervene.
