Emergency crews were called to the area of Hwy. 7 and Asphodel 3rd Line just before 9 a.m. following multiple calls for a transport truck in the ditch.

The driver of the truck was assessed by Peterborough Paramedics but was not transported to hospital.

Asphodel-Norwood Township firefighters worked to contain the scene and any spills on the roadway.

The highway was temporarily down to one lane while the scene is cleaned up.

Peterborough County OPP are investigating the cause of the crash.

On Wednesday morning, OPP said the driver lost control in a construction zone.

No charges will be laid, according to Cst. Joe Ayotte.
