Coronavirus: Quebec education minister calls failure to reopen schools a “higher risk” than COVID-19

Quebec Education Minister Jean-François Roberge said on Monday that the province would update its plan for restarting in-classroom learning, telling reporters that failure to reopen schools would be a “higher risk” for students than the novel coronavirus, because of greater threats to mental health and those with learning disabilities.
