Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler spoke out about ongoing protests in his city during a press conference on Thursday, urging protesters to not show up because they are being used as a “prop” for President Donald Trump’s re-election in campaign ads. He also said it was “disturbing” to him that he says people are coming to the city treating the protests as a “tourist opportunity.”
