U.S. Rep. Karen Bass, a potential running mate for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, on Sunday told “Meet The Press'” Chuck Todd that she was not a “sympathizer” of the late Cuban President Fidel Castro, following accusations over past statements she made. She said she did not realize referring to Castro as “Comandante en Jefe” or Commander in Chief would have an impact on Florida’s Cuban exile community.
