Dr. Deborah Birx, the coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force, said on Thursday that while there has been mentions of using goggles to help in preventing COVID-19 infection, they were trying to implement best practices of face masks and face shields being used saying the latter is often used in hospital settings as well. She did not, however, say if there were plans to add goggles to the CDC guidelines.
