Fentanyl and a deadly strain of purple heroin are circulating on the streets of Montreal. All first responders and authorities are expected to be on high alert for overdoses. Global News discovered two weeks ago that Montreal police officers are not equipped with fentanyl’s antidote Naloxone. As Anne Leclair explains, the tool is already being used by officers in Quebec and Ontario and has proven to save lives.
