WE Charity co-founder Craig Kielburger told a House of Commons finance committee hearing on Tuesday that hiring Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s daughter, as well as paying relatives of other officials for WE Charity events, was not “actually defined as lobbying.” Morneau, as well as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, are being investigated by the federal ethics watchdog for possible violations of conflict of interest rules relating to WE Charity.
