World Health Organization director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Monday that the coronavirus pandemic is the sixth time a global health emergency was declared but it’s easily “the most severe,” after the number of global COVID-19 cases has roughly doubled in the past six weeks.
