Canada’s Health Minister Patty Hajdu said on Friday that she’s “excited” about the “potential” of the new COVID-19 app currently in beta testing and added that it’s important to note the app is for notifying users who have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 rather than serving as a contact-tracing app.
