Hours after President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that federal law enforcement agents would be sent to Chicago to reinforce the prosecution of criminals in the city and stop violent crime, Mayor Lori Lightfoot said it was “not happening,” adding they “don’t need unnamed, secret federal agents” on city streets.
