U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that a deal had been reached with pharmaceutical company Pfizer to produce 100 million vaccine doses once emergency use authorization is given by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which could potentially happen this year, as well as an additional 500 million doses “shortly thereafter.”
