Guy Lapointe, director of communications for the Sûreté du Québec, explained to reporters on Wednesday that the body found during an intense manhunt for the Norah and Romy Carpentier’s father, who was sought in connection with the deaths, is indeed that of Martin Carpentier. The suspect took his own life, according to Lapointe.
